IFBCON Recap Day 2

What’s even better than one day at IFBCON? Two days at IFBCON! Content in the panel discussion was really good and the key note speaker I was waiting for, Iman, was amazing. Iman looks fabulous at 57 and is in the middle of launching her third career in the digital world. She was very inspiring and the best phrase I took away was “don’t age graciously, age chicly”. You can check out her new venture at Destination Iman.

I started my day off by getting a mini makeover at the Bare Minerals booth. I really love their makeup as I have sensitive skin and many brands make me break out. If you haven’t visited them in a while, they have updated their makeup line and foundation is now available in a pressed format instead of the loose powder. I was given free full size versions to try out which means no more mess in my makeup bag! I got a great shot with my makeup artist below.

I spent breaks getting more outfit shots. Below is Aminta of Clothes & Fashion with more great bling. Love how she is able to add sassy glamour to all of her outfits.

Next is Erin – Director of Brand & Retail at Stipple. Stipple is an interesting service that I’m going to try out which will help me keep track of all of my images as they move across the web. I’m looking forward to getting started with that in the next couple of weeks.

I got two great pics with Jarette of FMFashionMixer. We’ve been talking via Twitter so it was great to finally meet in person!

Below is Nneka Ezeaka from the online magazine Neks2U. Loved her fresh fun outfit!

Sharontina from The Runway Times. Amazing necklace!

I also got a chance to finally meet Jennifer of James Dry Goods. We’d also been talking online, and she put together this great post on shopping Soho in 4 hours that I used on Monday afternoon when I arrived in New York. She has some great resources on buying American made clothing that are worth checking out!

Everyone received an amazing goody bag with Bare Minerals makeup and so much more.

I’m sad the conference is over and will miss my new friends.  However, thanks to IFBCON, I have a ton of great ideas to make this blog better and continue to grow.  I look forward to seeing where things are at this time next year!
