Jennisin by Jessica Simpson Sandal Review

Jennsin by Jessica Simpson

When it comes to celebrities, Jessica Simpson is the sort that never really crosses my mind. That’s not a criticism of her music or movies – they’re just not my thing. I did try and watch an episode or two of her reality show Fashion Star, but like many of its genre I found it too much manufactured drama and not enough reality.

Jennisin by Jessica SimpsonSo with no real exposure to Jessica Simpson aside from what popular entertainment news happened by, I suppose my impression of her would be somewhat “country girl next door” – again, not really my thing.

Her shoe line is another story. Her designs have always been fun and come in some unique designs.

The Jennisin by Jessica Simpson simply rocks. A city sandal featuring a strappy leather upper, back zip, and sturdy block heel – they’re can easily carry me day to night. A touch on the narrow side (my wider feet just barely fit on the sole) they nonetheless remain comfy and easy to walk in.

Jennisin is a shoe with a dual personality. Its basic lines and color-blocking scream of simple sophistication, but the gladiator-style straps and gold armor along the back of the heel give it a combative element, and to my mind make the white straps look less like straps and more like war paint. And while it may seem silly, there’s nothing like fastening armored warpaint to your feet to make you ready for whatever the day may throw at you.

Fun, stylish, and very affordable, I’d definitely recommend the Jennisin. They regularly sell for $89, although they’re currently available through Zappos for only $64.99. I got my own pair at Boston Store (you night know it better as Bon Ton ) during their Sole Sisters 30% off shoe event, but they regularly have great coupons and sales as well.
